Samsung’s Leader 8 Flip Phone
Samsung takes us back a decade with the latest addition to their line up!
The last few years have shown that Samsung is not afraid of gambling on great and risky ideas. The latest of their unorthodox ideas is the Leader 8. It is a flip phone that has been modernized to date. With great specs, it also comes with an eye catching design that has a significant ‘wow’ factor.

Starting with the most important details, the smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB of RAM. 64GB of expandable storage is available while a 12MP camera, a fingerprint scanner and a 2,300mAh battery is included. But the key point of the Leader 8 is the two 4.2 inch OLED screens; one for when it is open and the other for when it is closed. It also offers wireless charging and Samsung Oay works with the device. Neat eh?
If you desire to open it, it operates just like the flip phones of the past, while navigating and typing is done using physical buttons. When the Leader 8 is closed, it operates similar to a regular smartphone you are accustomed to.
Pricing of the Leader 8
As of yet, Samsung has not come forth with the price it will sell at nor any details about the availability of the device. It is releasing in China and sadly will not be releasing to other parts of the globe. If you do require one, you will need to buy the Chinese version of the device.
Samsung seems to be targeting the nostalgic consumers who want a modern version of one of the most popular phone styles of the 2000’s. Certain analysts also say it can be an attempt to differentiate itself and boost sales in China as the company is struggling in the region. Samsung shipments now account for only 3% in the country, down from 7% last year.
