New Update For WhatsApp beta allows you to unsend messages!

0

WhatsApp has been hard at work updating the app with a fleet of new features. Over the past two months, they have added picture-in-picture, colorful status updates and the ability to message businesses to their beta program. The picture in picture mode is handy during video calls. This means you can continue the video call in a minimized screen while you use the rest of the app. While this is not a revolutionary feature, it does make for a very useful feature. The only caveat with it is that it is available in the WhatsApp Beta version and for those using the Android O Dev Preview.

Information on the new WhatsApp feature

Not ready to rest, the Facebook owned company has now brought a new feature to the app. The feature is similar to how the unsend option works on Instagram. It allows you to recall a message you have sent to someone. Reported by WABetaInfo, Android insiders are currently testing the feature, with WhatsApp having turned on the dedicated recall server on its end. Since the feature is in beta, everyone else will have to wait a bit until it rolls out.

Regardless of the time, it will take to reach customers, the ability to unsend messages is helpful for everyone. Whether it is a drunk text or someone who always sends the wrong text to the wrong people, this feature is going to be appreciated by all. Better yet, if you decide to recall your message, whatever you wrote is not displayed on the recipient’s notification area. Instead, the recalled message is displayed as, “This message was deleted.”

Of course, we do not know when this much-needed feature will release to everyone else. What we know is that the app developers are busy at work improving the app. Sooner or later, consumers will get the benefits of it.
