HTC's latest budget offering

HTC released the HTC U11 to critical acclaim. However, it had a large price tag that put it out of reach for some people. The HTC U11 Life is the company’s answer to that crowd.

Overview of the HTC U11 Life

Though a smaller and more affordable device, the HTC U11 Life has many of the flagship features of its pricier brother, the HTC U11. These include Edge Sense, the break taking design and no nonsense software. The device comes with a 5.2 inch Full HD screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 under the hood. It offers 3 GB of RAM and 32 gigs of on board storage that you can expand on. On the back is a 16 MP camera that comes with a f/2.0 aperture for good lowlight images.

A 2,600m mAh battery powers things and the HTC U11 Life offers support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Oh and if that’s not good enough, it has an IP 67 rating.

As with the recent HTC device, it has no headphone. However, the company is giving Usonic headphones that come with noise cancelling and Hi-Res audio certified 24-bit sound quality. HTC is known for their great audio quality and rest assured, this little device will keep up with the reputation.

Availability, colours and pricing of the HTC U11 Life

The company is also selling the same phone, but pre loaded with Android One. This is the model that is being sold globally. The version being sold to the US and Canada will run Android 7.1.1 out of the box. An unlocked HTC U11 Life will be sold for $349 according to HTC and will be made available to consumers from the third of November. You will be disappointed with the choice of colors, however, as it comes in only one colour. The colour is sapphire blue.
