The LG V30 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will most likely be pitted against each other quite often throughout the remainder of 2017 and for good reason. For those confused on which device to go, here are a few reasons to go for the LG V30.

Hi-Fi quad DAC/MQA support for the LG V30

If you’re someone who is really interested in the quality of the audio you listen to, then the LG V30 is sure to interest you.

The V30 is utilizing a 32-bit Hi-Fi quad DAC from ESS technology similar to the one from the V20, but now with more customization options. This means the quality of the audio is higher and there will be less distortion in the audio. Another feature for the LG V30 is support for MQA. The advantage the Note 8 has is that it offers the headphone jack but that’s about it.

The placement of the fingerprint scanner on the LG V30

This might sound funny as both the devices have the fingerprint scanner at the back. But this is the only similarity. The LG V30 has it in the center of the back where it is more convenient to reach. The Note 8, on the other hand, has it next to the camera. This means it is much more awkward and hard to reach. The highlight of the week V30 is that the fingerprint scanner works as the power button which eliminates the need for a second button.

Videoing capabilities

The LG V series always had great video capabilities and the V30 takes it a step further. The V30 has the ability to video in log format. For those who do not know what this means this is usually the video format that is used in high-end cameras and DSLRs. When it comes to log format, one has more power when it comes to posting video processing.

These are just some of the reasons I believe the LG V30 has the lead over the Samsung Note 8.
