Nokia 6 Hands On Opinions

0

The Nokia 6 is the company’s attempt to break into the smartphone market again. It runs Android this time. Previously Nokia devices ran Windows. Safe to say that was a complete disaster as the results showed.

First thoughts of the Nokia 6

The Nokia 6 is an extremely premium looking phone but without a high price tag attached to it. That might seem suspicious to you but this is one of new “Amazon Exclusive” devices. Amazon offers these phones at a discounted price. The drawback is that you have to live with ads and other offers being displayed on your lock screen. The phone has an anodized 6000 series aluminum chassis and debuts at a price of $179.99.

When put next to other phones in the $200 category, the Nokia 6 is far ahead of the competition. It has a sturdy design and the weight is just right enough that it feels premium every time you carry it. Qualities like this are rarely seen in phones of this price range.

Spec sheet of the Nokia 6

The phone releases with a Snapdragon 430 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a fingerprint sensor and the ability to support expandable storage. Oh and also, the phone comes with a headphone jack, thankfully!

The fingerprint sensor also works as a home button and has capacitive buttons on both sides. The major flaw in this device is that it comes with micro USB instead of USB Type C. USB Type C is the new technology that all phones are using so it is disappointing that this device does not use it.

The software works smoothly without a hitch. But still, hardcore gamers are advised to consider more viable options. This phone is more suited for those who are not using the phone for major tasks and he it simply to browse the internet and other day to day tasks.
