The Moto Z2 Force is the main flagship device from Motorola for the year of 2017. The welcome additions of the phone include a shatterproof display, dual cameras, Moto Mods and a thinner design. Of course the thinner design results in a smaller battery.

Design of the Moto Z2 Force

The design of the Moto Z2 Force has not changed much from previous iterations. There are some minor changes. On the back, the company has opted for an all metal design that makes use of 7000 series aluminum. This provides a greater degree of toughness and durability. The device is also 1mm thinner than the device from last year

Display of the Moto Z2 Force

The phone has a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with a pixel density of 535 ppi. The display is up to standards but does not fare well when exposed to direct sunlight. The display is not as beautiful as recent smartphones such as the Samsung S8. This is because of the Shattershield tech incorporated in the device. This means the device is completely shatterproof. A disadvantage of this is that the display is very easy to scratch and it is not possible to replace the screen as Motorola has discontinued the replacement service.

Performance

Everyday performance is nothing short of expectation. The Z2 Force is fluid and responsive with fast app load times, smooth scrolling, and a seamless multitasking experience. This is because of the fast processer as well as the light UI.

Camera of the Moto Z2 Force

Dual cameras on flagships are becoming the norm and Motorola has become the latest OEM to join the club. The Z2 Force features two 12 megapixel cameras with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. The main sensor is your standard RGB, while the secondary lens shoots monochrome. General picture quality on the Z2 Force has been pleasant but is quite bad during low light conditions.
