What we know about the Honor 7X
Honor recently released their latest mid range offering in the form of the Honor 7X. This device follows up the Honor 6X and comes with a number of interesting additions.
Honor 7X design and display
the device features a metal unibody design which is no different to the device it is replacing. According to the company, this smartphone will be 2.7 mm slimmer than the iPhone 7 which has a thickness of 7.3 mm.
the Honor 7X follows the trend of 2017 by offering a screen that has an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is quite large at 5.93 inches with a Full HD + resolution and 408 PPI. The fingerprint sensor has been switched to the back to accommodate the display while a 3.5 mm headphone jack can be found at the bottom of the phone too.
Honor 7X camera
Similar to its predecessor, Honor’s device has a dual camera set up at the back. One is a 16 MP lens and the other is a 2 MP depth sensing lens. On paper this should allow for better Portrait Mode pictures. The front facing camera is an 8 MP lens that presents depth of field features to play around with, as well as selfie effects and a beauty mode.
Specs on the Honor 7X
The chipset used on the phone is one made by Honor. However, since this is a mid range offering, it does not have a high end processor. It makes use of the Kirin 659 processor with 4 GB of RAM to back it up. 64GB of internal storage is available with a Micro SD present for those who want more storage. That slot can also be used for a second sim should you wish so. It runs Android 7, overlaid with the company’s Emotion UI. The battery included in the device is 3,340mAh.
