Specifications of the Honda Gold Wing

The Honda Gold Wing series has been in production since 1970 and 2018’s model features plenty of futuristic tech. on the side of power, the engine is a flat six that is cooled by liquid. It comes with an option to have a seven-speed automatic dual clutch transmission as well as an adaptive suspension framework. It even has keyless entry. This means the vehicle would automatically unlock as you approach it. Another add on allows LED lights to activate in the same manner.

How does CarPlay work in the Honda Gold Wing

CarPlay is from Apple and it has slowly but steadily made its way to multiple cars. However, this is the first time it comes to a motorbike. Thus, it has a couple of differences when compared with cars. The display is a seven inch display that is set in the midst of both handlebars. The connection is a wired connection. This is the norm even on cars. Users can connect their iPhones through points present in the trunk or in the storage compartment. The next step is to pair up with a Bluetooth headset. This can be a standalone Bluetooth or it can be something inbuilt into the helmet.

The LCD display is not a touch screen so it can not be interacted like with the ones in cars. However, there is a directional pad on the left handlebar or a knob on the tank that a user can use to switch between apps. The only thing lacking in this is Android Auto and according to Honda, this is Google’s fault. They said this via the  Road Show.
