If you are like every other iPhone user, you are probably excited about what iOS 11 has in store. Below we take a look at what the new OS has in store.

How do you download iOS 11

The final version of iOS 11 isn’t yet available and likely won’t be until mid-September, around September 20, if Apple continues its typical release pattern.

The best features in iOS 11

The control center is getting a complete redesign in iOS 11. There will only be a few permanent buttons but everything else can be customized as you like. In addition to the standard toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, airplane mode, media controls, brightness, volume, rotation lock, do not disturb and AirPlay, there are 18 additional controls you can add to Control Center.

Taking a screenshot on the version of iOS will give you more options now. You have the chance to edit a screenshot with tools. You can crop, draw or highlight areas in the screenshot. Once you’re done editing the screenshot, you can share it directly from within the tool.

Apple is also releasing a “Do Not Disturb While Driving” feature similar to Google’s implementation. True to its name, it’s woven into the same Do Not Disturb (DND) settings that prevent calls and messages from bugging you at night and during meetings. In this feature, it blocks calls and messages when you are driving.

A little too late, the new OS will debut a new file management app named as Files. This allows one to organized files and download documents from online cloud storage like Dropbox and Google Drive. The OS adds a handy drag-and-drop feature to the iPad line, with some spill over to the iPhone. In the Files app, for example, long-press on a single file until it hovers, then tap on additional files to create a virtual stack of files. Drag the files to a new location, then lift your finger.
