Reminder about the OnePlus Flagship
OnePlus, the startup company launched their flag ship device a month ago. During its time in the market, it has also made the news for a large number of negative reasons. Issues such as the jelly scrolling effect and failed 911 calls have prevented the launch from being entirely smooth.
But the latest news out the Chinese company seems much more positive. Hours ago, OnePlus posted on their official Facebook page that they have something new up for launch. There were 3 pictures of the OnePlus 5; two were colors the phone is available in but the third was uncolored.
Many tech followers were quick to suggest that the release of the OnePlus 5 was imminent. But looking past the post it is hard to see the logic of this theory. The company launched the OnePlus 5 with top tier specs, a Snapdragon 835, 6 gigs of RAM and with the highly coveted dual camera feature. When you look at it, it makes no sense for the company to release an updated version as there isn’t any major updates in the market.
The only logical conclusion one can think of is that the emerging startup might be releasing a new color variant. The current selection available for consumers is quite paltry. Especially when compared to competitors like Apple and Samsung, the Midnight Black and Slate Gray the only options available for the device. By presenting a lighter color variant, it can help the startup widen their customer base by giving an option to those put off by the dark palette available right now.
The choice of color has not been confirmed but an older post showed multiple variants. The post showed a red, soft gold and a “unicorn” color variant as options.
